"Isaac's Pure Locale Lecture" Episode 2 - Pine Island

Hello! This is Isaac from Terranima :) When people discuss Leachianus geckos, the conversation often starts with color and line. But another part of their appeal opens up when you widen the perspective. Leachianus is less like "just one gecko species" and more like a small world shaped by multiple islands. So today, I want to introduce another locale. Today's topic is **Pine Island**. šŸļø What kind of place is Pine Island? Pine Island lies in southern New Caledonia and is rich in natural forest, including dense old-growth trees that can reach around 30 m. This environment provides conditions for strong growth in local Leachies. In fact, Pine Island animals are often considered ecologically close to southern Grande Terre (GT) animals, with abundant food resources and growth-friendly habitat.
🧬 Body form and appearance The biggest hallmark of Pine Island is size and build. - Many individuals can exceed 30 cm total length - Head and tail are well developed and elongated - Adult males especially show very powerful head mass They have obvious weight and presence at a glance. šŸŽØ Body color and pattern When lighter, they often show green tones; when darker, they tend toward brown. I have also seen fired-up animals with a mugwort-like tone, which is one of the fun parts of this locale. Pattern quality is also notable: many Pine Island animals show very clean and densely filled pattern fields. Compared to some other locales, pattern areas often look more "packed" with color, ranging from white to white with a slight pink tint.
🧠 Ecology and behavior Pine Island animals show behavior quite similar to GT (Grande Terre) animals. - Frequent hiding in high trees - Tendency to establish relatively wide territories - Stronger solitary behavior - Pairing difficulty is moderate to somewhat high Because the island is large and environmentally complex, they appear to maintain territory strongly, similar to GT tendencies.
šŸ’› Why is Pine Island so popular? - Heavy, powerful body presence - Clear, easy-to-read pattern expression - Strong visual impact - A classic "Leachie" character If you enjoy the charisma of large animals and classic Leachianus style, Pine Island is a locale that fits extremely well.
